Bet Power has been a transgender activist and community historian for more than three decades. He talks about coming of age into Chicago's lesbian community during the sex wars of the 1970's, meeting Louis Sullivan in the 1980's and then founding the East Coast FTM Group, a group that has been meet weekly for more than 15 years. During the time of the interview he was on the Steering Committee for the first ever New England Transgender Pride March and Rally, and he speaks about his experiences leading up to that event.
