Video Volunteers Needed!

Do you edit video and want to be an ally to the trans community? The Trans Oral History Project is looking for video volunteers in Chicago.

We are looking for two different volunteer roles:

Youtube Crew will produce 5-minute preview clips with highlights from our 45-75 min interviews. There will be one or two videos for each interview. These will be more "quick and dirty" for our Youtube channel and will include a small soundtrack, some b-roll, but will mostly be direct footage of people talking.

Educator's ToolKit Crew who will be working on 10-15 minute videos in more of a varietie documentary style. They will potentially include more b-roll, stock footage, infographics, etc. and generally be more of a finished product.

All volunteers should be open to partnering with trans community members and interviewees in putting together footage and shaping a story. We especially would love if people are interested in sharing their skills when applicable. Apply by contact us at transoralhistory [at] gmail.com
